Initially the app had only single button, which would root your device on click. Now there are two options: temporary root and permanent root. The new temporary root option works on 99% of available Android devices - no list yet of which specific devices are incompatible with the temporary root option.

How to root a Samsung Galaxy S with z4root

Please follow the instructions given below. You need to know how to transfer files from computer to you mobile. If you are using windows, download the SAMSUNG KIES and use it to transfer files, or if you are using  a Mac Os, you can just connect your phone and put it on transfer data.

1. First go to Settings -> Applications and put check on "Unknown Sources". This will allow you to use cracked apps.
2. Second step is to download the z4root from the link above.
3. Locate the z4root using file manager (download the astro file manager it's best and free)
4. After installation lunch the apk and select the "Root" option. And the you're done.
